Ginseng affects the immune system and helps to keep people disease-free. A study on people recovering from surgery found that people who took ginseng daily could reduce their chances of disease for five years by up to 35 per cent.
As well as this, there has been at least one study that suggests that ginseng could boost the effect of vaccines as well.
