Have You Tried Antioxidant Tea Before?

The last year and a half or so has really shone a spotlight on health and wellbeing for all of us and, no doubt, there are many of you out there who have been inspired to make a few lifestyle changes here and there to give you a bit of a health boost, whether that’s focusing on your diet, getting more exercise, prioritising sleep… there’s a lot you can do!

Diet is one of the main ways in which you can really support your immune system and ensure that you live a long and happy, healthy life, however, so if you are keen to really up the ante in this regard, reviewing what you eat and drink could make a very significant difference indeed.

There are all sorts of different types you can make at home yourself, with white tea generally considered to be the very best of them all, with the highest amounts of antioxidants to be found therein.

This is because it’s the least processed of all the antioxidant teas out there, closely followed by the likes of jasmine, green and black teas. Each of them have different amounts of theanine, magnesium and caffeine in them, so it’s just a matter of working out which ones you enjoy the most and what kind of health benefits you’re looking for.

Flavonoids can also be found in tea, plant-based phytonutrients that are purported to help support blood vessel function and healthy blood pressure, so certainly worth sipping on each day if you can. And who doesn’t love a cup of tea in the morning, after all?

Or what about trying one of the latest TikTok trends on for size and trying a cup of lettuce tea instead? Apparently, all you need to do is soak some lettuce in boiling water for ten minutes or thereabouts, take the lettuce out and then sit back to enjoy your tea.

Social media fans say that it helps them to fall asleep and get better quality sleep at that, so it could be a good one to try if you’ve been suffering from a smattering of insomnia in recent weeks.
